Metaboli Team Loves

Medieval times!

Medieval II: Total War, the indirect sequel to 2002's Medieval: Total War and the fourth game in the Total War series from The Creative Assembly, the makers of what can surely be described as some of the best strategy games ever, is a turn-based strategic, real-time tactical game. Why the dichotomy, you ask? Well, because as every good armchair general will tell you, you need both strategy and tactics to win a war, especially if it's a total war!

We are proud to deliver this game in its Gold Edition, with the add-on, as we did for Rome Total War.

Note:
- Requires the latest DirectX version

- This game is compatible with 64-bit systems

This is one of the few games that I can come back to over and over again and still find thoroughly enjoyable! I think there is something here for everyone who loves to think their way through a game. The turn-based strategic game lasts plenty long enough and allows for great flexibility in how you develop your nation and engage with other nations. The battles fought in the game's tactical mode are usually well done and seem to require both tactical ability and strategic planning. There are very few 'hero' units that can win wars on their own. The game does have a few knocks such as a very uncomplicated Diplomacy system that feels like an add-on rather than an integral feature and some balance issues in how well some nations develop. For example, is there a better unit in the game than English Archers? Probably - but I haven't found one! All in all, though, this game alone is worth the cost of the Metaboli service for a month or three and could keep serious strategy players hooked for a long time!
